Solution for Section 5.3 Question 3

3. The set  A1 contains all positive integers and   the set A2 contains all negative integers, but neither set contains the integer 0.
Hence {A1, A2} is not a partition of the integers.

{A1, A2, {0}} is a partition of Z, since every integer is either positive, negative or 0, and these three sets do not overlap.
